Grant Funding Case Studies

The Finance Hub commissioned NAVCA to produce case studies to explore the grant funding relationship between local government and the voluntary and community sector (VCS) as part of the local funding mix. The complete studies can be downloaded below.

It provides snapshot examples of the grant funding relationship and grant funding practice of four very different local authorities, each of which recognises a need for, and has demonstrated a degree of commitment to, on-going grant provision.

These examples attempt to shed light on the nature of this commitment, the drivers for it and the perceived outcomes of it. The intention is to provoke discussion at national level and amongst local partners who are seeking to address third sector funding issues responsibly.
